EPR in France: Triman, Info-tri and the UIN for Amazon sellers

France enforces EPR through a unique identification number and on-product sorting labelling. Amazon France increasingly checks for these before letting you sell.

The UIN (Unique Identification Number)

You register with an approved eco-organisme for each relevant product stream (packaging, electronics, furniture, textiles and more) and receive a unique identification number.

Amazon can require a valid UIN for the categories you sell into France.

Triman and Info-tri

Products and packaging must carry the Triman logo and the Info-tri sorting instructions so consumers know how to dispose of them.

This is a labelling obligation, not just a registration, so it affects your artwork and packaging.

Penalties

EPR non-compliance in France can be penalised up to €30,000, plus the revenue lost to blocked listings.
