It is real and dated. GPSR applies since 13 December 2024 and requires a named EU Responsible Person plus safety and traceability info. Germany’s EPR (LUCID, WEEE) and France’s Triman / UIN are separate, enforceable obligations, with fines up to €100k in Germany, €30k in France and €1.75M in Spain for serious cases.
